"Oh, that's Charles Spencer, by the way. He's a great kid. Computer engineering degree, 3.6 GPA. Had a floor-level gig, an Intel plan for the fall. But first he wanted to put a few miles on his sole before he parked it behind a desk. See the world, maybe be of service."
―Tony Stark[src]

Charles "Charlie" Spencer was an American citizen and an early-stage engineer who was killed in the Battle of Sokovia.

History

"He decided to spend his summer building sustainable housing for the poor. Guess where, Sokovia. He wanted to make a difference, I suppose. I mean, we won't know because we dropped a building on him while we were kicking ass."
―Tony Stark[src]

Spencer was raised by his mother Miriam, a member of the State Department. After getting a degree in computer engineering, he decided to spend his summer in Sokovia and help build sustainable housing for the poor.

Eventually, Spencer started working in the capital city of Novi Grad and witnessed the Avengers fight the rogue artificial intelligence Ultron, who used a Vibranium-based technology to lift a large section of the city skyward. During the conflict, Spencer was crushed to death by rubble from a collapsing building.[1]
