The Chinatown Crew was a criminal organization hired by the Watchdogs, who were unaware that they were acting on orders from Eli Morrow.

History

While the Chinatown Crew member Chen was in South Ridge Penitentiary, he met there Eli Morrow. Morrow eventually became the leader of the Crew.[1]

With Chen's release from prison, the anti-Inhumans group, the Watchdogs, hired the Crew for working in Los Angeles. In Morrow's advice, the Crew hired several members of the Aryan Brotherhood to steal a box from Momentum Labs. To do so, the Aryan stole a crate for them. When the crate was eventually delivered to them, with the Aryan members all having been murdered by Ghost Rider, Chen questioned where the other men were, only for the two with the box to claim that they had gone mad and tried to kill each other, leading to them having to execute them and leave their bodies behind where they would later be found by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents investigating the theft and killings.

Despite this set back, Chen opened the box and discovered a large glowing mist which engulfed them. Just as Chen questioned what it was, the ghostly figure of Lucy Bauer appeared behind him and infected him. Chen began seeing horrific images of his men's face rotting away and freaked out, drawing his uzi and killing the two who had delivered the crate to him. Just as Chen went to kill more people however, May's Team arrived and shot him and his men with I.C.E.R.s before taking them onto Zephyr One for questioning.[2]

Chen was locked in S.H.I.E.L.D. base for days, there he went insane,[3] and eventually died.[4]

A few weeks later, Alphonso Mackenzie from S.H.I.E.L.D. drove to one of the Crew bases in Los Angels and killed with his Shotgun-Axe a few Crew member. As he caught Zhi, he asked him where Morrow was, but Mackenzie still wanted to kill for his actions. Surprisingly, he released Zhi.[1]

After Morrow was released from prison, he contacted the Crew and led the group again. He gathered the renaming members in their headquarters, and hired them to protect him from S.H.I.E.L.D. while he was building a Quantum Battery. Peng argued with Morrow that he did not pay them for their work, so Morrow created diamonds inside his lungs. S.H.I.E.L.D. eventually entered the building and managed to kill Morrow and all Chinatown Crew members. After Eli Morrow's death, the Chinatown Crew was disbanded.[5]
