Firing Scott Lang[]
In 2015, Dale hired Scott Lang, but soon fired him when he discovered Lang had served three years in San Quentin State Prison for burgling Vistacorp and had lied on his application.
However, Dale admitted to Lang that he admired him for the burglary. Dale promised to look the other way if Lang stole a smoothie on his way out, which he did.[2]
Celebrating Scott Lang[]
In 2026, Dale reunited with Scott Lang, who was now famous as the superhero Ant-Man after the Battle of Earth. Dale invited Lang back to Baskin-Robbins and named him "Employee of the Century", shaking his hand in front of the paparazzi while smiling at Lang.
Days later, Dale used his pastry skills to bake a special ant-shaped cake for Lang's daughter Cassie Lang.[1]
Personality[]
- "You really stuck it to those billionaire S.O.Bs. And the more I read about what you did and stuff, I'm like, 'Wow, I know this guy? I'm in charge of this guy?' Yeesh!"
- ―Dale to Scott Lang[src]
Dale tries to retain a friendly relationship with his employees, shown by his respect for Scott Lang while firing him. However, for Dale, up keeping the high-quality standard of his Baskin-Robbins is always the number one priority, no matter whose hearts may be broken along the way. That said, Dale still had some sympathy for Lang, allowing him to take a free smoothie as a courtesy while he left his shop's premises after being fired.
