Edith Oberon is a former lover of Howard Stark.
Biography[]
Edith Oberon dated Howard Stark. When he sent his butler Edwin Jarvis to inform her that he no longer wished to be romantically involved with her, she grew angry. He gave her a diamond bracelet as a memento; despite this, she still maintained her hatred of him.
She was visited by Edwin Jarvis and Peggy Carter who wished to figure out which of Stark's previous girlfriends had stolen his inventions. During their visit, she said that was not the type of girl to be brought off with a bracelet and attempted to slap Jarvis. Carter anticipated this and grabbed Oberon's arm; Oberon kicked him in the shin instead.[1]

Behind the Scenes[]
- Following the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, it was speculated by fans that Tony Stark named E.D.I.T.H. after Edith Oberon. However, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers debunked this theory when asked it by The Hollywood Reporter, as the film clearly specifies that E.D.I.T.H. stands up to "Even Dead, I'm The Hero".[2]
