Emil was the pet mongoose of Robert Coleman. One day, Jessica Jones arrived to do research. When the NYPD arrived, Jones let Emil out, telling him to attack the NYPD.[1]

- In the comics, Emil Frank is the father of Robert Frank. He was a doctor who, after witnessing his son going into a coma from the venom of a poisonous snake, used the blood of a mongoose to revitalize him. This event gave Robert, super-human speed.
