Attack of the Allies[]
Velt was put in charge of the HYDRA weapon facility, which ended up being destroyed by Captain America and the Howling Commandos. Velt was the sole survivor of the attack, as all other HYDRA soldiers felt victims to the Allies' forces. When the Red Skull arrived on the scene, Velt told him that they fought to the last man, but failed to protect the facility. However, the Red Skull only stated that it was not the case, as Velt was still alive, and executed him with his HYDRA Pistol for his failure.[1]
