Laurent Bouchard is a man who was employed and tortured by Kilgrave.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Laurent Bouchard used to work as a chef, until he was fired for having a drinking problem. He was than enthralled by Kilgrave in order to be used as a chef in the house he recently bought. Kilgrave paid him twice as much as he earned at his previous job.[1]
Working for Kilgrave[]
- "I'll introduce you to the staff. This is, um... Tell her your names, please."

Upon Jessica Jones' arrival at her old house, Kilgrave called Bouchard and Alva Ramirez forwards in order to introduce them self. Jones told Kilgrave that she did not want to life in a house with slaves, upon Bouchard was ordered to tell that he earns twice as much as on his previous job.[1]
Evening Dinner[]
- "Laurent and what's-her-name are cooking up a storm for us. You're welcome to come down whenever you're hungry."

That evening, Bouchard and Alva Ramirez were waiting in the dining room for Jessica Jones to join the dinner Kilgrave had them create. When she finally arrived, Bouchard planned to serve her pasta amatriciana, according to Kilgrave her favorite dinner. Before he was able to serve it, Jones told them that it is his favorite food and that it makes her nauseous now. She would instead take a liquide dinner, Bouchard quickly looked at Kilgrave to find out what he should do, seeing that he was fine with it. Bouchard and Ramirez then moved back to the kitchen.
While standing in the kitchen, they heard Jones break the wine bottle when throwing it away. They quickly returned to the kitchen and placed a knife next to their throat, a safe guard Kilgrave has placed. When Kilgrave realized that she did this to test him, he told them that they were allowed to remove the knife, Bouchard already had already started bleeding. When they wanted to return to the kitchen, they were ordered to first clean up the mess Jones had made. When going to bed, Jones apologized to them.[1]
Nosy Neighbor[]
The next morning, Bouchard and Alva Ramirez prepared breakfast for Kilgrave and Jessica Jones. While they were eating dinner, they were disturbed by an neighbor, Elizabeth De Luca, who eventually was invited to join them during breakfast. Meanwhile, Bouchard was waiting inside of the home. Together with Ramirez, he cleaned up after breakfast was finished.[1]
Playing the Hero[]
Later that afternoon, Kilgrave and Jessica Jones planned to visit a crime scene, in order for Kilgrave to become a hero. Before leaving, Kilgrave ordered Bouchard and Alva Ramirez to start peeling each other's face off if he would not return within two hours. While Kilgrave and Jones were away, the two of them waited patiently within the living room. When Kilgrave and Jones finally returned, Ramirez jumped up and together with Bouchard went to the kitchen to bake a cake.[1]
Standing Watch[]

Following their return, Jessica Jones left the house for a walk. Kilgrave ordered Alva Ramirez and Bouchard to stand in front of the window and told them not to blink until she returned. Later in the evening, after not being allowed to close their eyes, Bouchard said something in French which caused Kilgrave to throw crips at them. Kilgrave took a quick look out of the window, told them to clean up the mess and wipe their faces, before he went back to intercept Jones.[1]
Final Dinner[]
- "Laurent! Alva! Dinner's up."
"Do they need to eat with us?"

Upon her return, Jessica Jones, who had bought Chinese food for all four of them, asked Ramirez and Bouchard to join them during dinner. When Jones left the table for a moment, both Ramirez and Bouchard collapsed. Before Kilgrave could react, Jones knocked him out with Sufentanil.[1]
