"Isn't it easier to let me take control?"
―Controller[src]

Basil Sandhurst is an agent of A.I.M. who was stationed on a military ship in the arctic in order to mind control Iron Man when he came. This earned him the name of Controller. Sandhurst did not live up to his name though as Stark blew up the reactor anyways.

Biography[]

Hijacking and Retaking of the Air Force Ship[]

"Don't touch the reactors."
"I'm sorry. Is somebody talking to me?"
―Controller and Iron Man[src]

Basil Sandhurst was an A.I.M. operative in charge of attacking a military ship in the Arctic in search for power sources. A.I.M. successfully took over the ship, but Tony Stark arrived to defend it. Sandhurst told Stark that he was safe as he attempted to control Stark's mind, but Stark managed to break the control. Sandhurst again attempted to control Stark, but to no avail as Stark asked how Sandhurst was doing it. Stark continued attacking the ship's defenses and freed the soldiers Sandhurst had taken hostage.

As Stark turned his attention to the reactors, Sandhurst tried to get Stark not to touch them, but Stark ignored him. Sandhurst declared the reactor to be a trap and tried to control Stark again, but Stark shook the control and destroyed the reactor's parts anyway.[1]
