Lancaster Sneed, better known as Shockwave, is a former MI6 operative who later became a professional criminal and mercenary.

Origins[]
Lancaster Sneed was once a very egocentric secret agent working for the United Kingdom's MI6 agency. After being wounded in an explosion his body was surgically rebuilt using metal plates, enhancing his strength, speed, durability and agility. After stealing an exoskeleton body armor suit which gave him enhanced strength and was equipped with an apparatus that generated electrical shocks on contact, he became a professional criminal and mercenary, calling himself Shockwave.[2]
War Against S.H.I.E.L.D.[]
Shockwave allied himself with R.A.I.D. in their war against S.H.I.E.L.D.. He was sent a rampage to distract S.H.I.E.L.D. while R.A.I.D. infiltrated Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.. Maria Hill alerted Captain America of this, who went to confront Shockwave. Rogers defeated Shockwave and brought him into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, where Black Widow interrogated him. The only information she got out of him was that his mission was to cause as much chaos as possible to distract S.H.I.E.L.D. and that he got his pay electronically through dummy accounts.[1]
Powers and Abilities[]
Shockwave's exoskeleton provides him with superhuman strength and electric blasts and armor. According to Falcon, he is powerful enough to power all of Times Square by himself.
