Chasing Ian Quinn
John Garrett and his team were sent to investigate and apprehend Ian Quinn, since the incidents in Malta. They followed Quinn to Berlin, Germany, and later to Morocco, losing three agents during the mission.
When Triplett arrived at The Bus, he came across Grant Ward, fighting against the former team member after a friendly chat as their orders were contradictory. Coulson and Garrett managed to make an arrangement, and their brief fight stopped.
After Garrett questioned Quinn and decided to join Coulson in his assault of The Guest House, Triplett stayed on the plane in case his medical training would be needed to help the injured Skye, staying there with Jemma Simmons, for whom Triplett showed certain attraction.
Garrett returned from The Guest House with Coulson at the last moment and they witnessed Skye's seemingly impossible recovery. After the mission was over the two agents left with Quinn for The Fridge.
Chasing Michael Peterson
Garrett's team was attacked by Deathlok as they settled in a safe house in Australia. They later boarded the Bus with Victoria Hand, Jasper Sitwell, and Felix Blake to go to the Arctic to discuss with Coulson's Team possible candidates of the identity of the Claivoyant. The duo saw Skye become a level one agent, so she could access the Index.
Arguing with Agent Coulson as to why Victoria Hand should be killed instead of sedated, if she was the Clairvoyant, Agent Garrett revealed that Coulson and Raina were both subjects of the Theta Brain-Wave Frequency Machine, a fact that Coulson told no one, causing Coulson to realise that Garrett was the Clairvoyant. As he admitted to such, Garrett also admitted to being a HYDRA sleeper agent who worked with Jasper Sitwell. When Coulson asked about the death of his teammates, Garrett said that they had asked the wrong questions concerning the Clairvoyant.
Each member of the team has their own special skill set that contributes to the team. Antoine Triplett is a combat specialist.
|John Garrett||Level 7||John Garrett is an undercover HYDRA operative inside S.H.I.E.L.D.. Also known as the Clairvoyant, he is the mastermind behind the Centipede Project. In his guise as a Level 7 S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, he was close with Agent Phil Coulson, as both were trainees of Nick Fury.|
|Antoine Triplett||Level 6||Antoine Triplett joined S.H.I.E.L.D. as a specialist with medical training and eventually gained Level 6 clearance. He was assigned to the team after Grant Ward was assigned to Phil Coulson's team.|
|Grant Ward||Level 7||Grant Ward is a S.H.I.E.L.D. field operative and specialist. As a child, he was constantly abused by his older brother, Christian, and that constant trauma has left him bitter and poor at interpersonal relations. He compensated in combat and espionage, and acted fiercely loyal to S.H.I.E.L.D. and Phil Coulson, so no one would know that he was a HYDRA sleeper agent. Before he was recruited into Coulson's Team, Ward served as a solo operative, working occasionally with his former superior, John Garrett.|
|Dan Monroe||Level Unknown||After joining S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Dan Monroe was assigned to Garrett's Team, becoming the partner of Agent Antoine Triplett. While following Ian Quinn after the kidnapping of Franklin Hall and the incidents in Malta, Agent Monroe was killed by Ian Quinn's men, from information provided by the Clairvoyant, his team leader, John Garrett.|
