"You're saying this guy died?"
"Yeah, for about a minute. It's crazy, but they say it happens sometimes, one minute flat line, then boom, his heart starts back up again, on its own. He just didn't want to die. Within ten minutes of being awake, he reaches up and grabs my scrubs, yanks me down and says, real close, take me home. I shouldn't have done it, I shouldn't have done it, I should have known it would get me fired."
Karen Page and George Bach[src]

George Bach is a former nurse for Metro-General Hospital who was put in charge of the care of wounded John Doe following the Massacre at Central Park. However, when the patient awoke suddenly despite flat lining, Bach took him out of the hospital and was fired as a result by Samantha Reyes.

Biography[]

Helping a John Doe[]

A John Doe was brought into the hospital one day. Bach described them as a vegetable. Men in suits came in with a "do not resuscitate" order. The doctors pulled the plug and in only one minute, he came back to life, without any equipment. He revived himself on his own. After ten minutes, the John Doe grabbed Bach and told him to "take him home", which Bach did. He was then fired for his actions.[1]

Visited by Karen Page[]

One day, Karen Page found Bach and asked for information on the John Doe. Bach told her the story of why he got fired.[1]
