Captain Irving Forbush is a former senior officer of the New York City Police Department.

Police Captain[]
Captain Irving Forbush climbed the ranks of the New York City Police Department and gained the rank of Captain. As such, he was honored by displaying his portrait inside the 15th Precinct Police Station.[1][2][3]
Captain Forbush was also chosen to be the face of some of the campaigns developed by the police department. One of such campaigns encouraged citizens to report any crimes they may witness.[4] Another was a recruitment campaign to become members of the police department, encouraging citizens to join their ranks.[5]
He started his own company Forbush & Associates.[6]

- In the comics, Irving Forbush was an office gofer at Marble Comics, an obvious parody of Marvel Comics, who went on to become a superhero named Forbush Man and defeat a large number of supervillains based on pure accidental luck.

- Irving Forbush is the second character from the comics to be portrayed by Stan Lee in a Marvel adaptation, following Willie Lumpkin in the 20th Century Fox production Fantastic Four.
