The Committee for State Security (Russian; Комите́т госуда́рственной безопа́сности), abbreviated as KGB, was the main security agency for the Soviet Union.
History[]
Androvich served as an operative for the KGB before becoming the Minister of Defense of Russia.[1]
Following her graduation from the Red Room, Natasha Romanoff was recruited into the KGB.[2] As a professional assassin, she served for the KGB before she left to join S.H.I.E.L.D..[3]
Yuri Zaikin served for the KGB before joining SVR and, later, HYDRA.[4]
The KGB managed to obtain a classified file with information on the mysterious assassin known as the Winter Soldier. In 2014, Romanoff managed to obtain this file from Kiev and handed it to Steve Rogers.[3]
