"What are you gonna do with our friends?"
"Whatever we want. Experiment."
Daisy Johnson and Kree Guard[src]

The Kree Watch was the Kree organization responsible for enforcement in the Lighthouse in a reality where Earth was destroyed.

History[]

Ruling over Humans[]

"Working with them is our only option. We need their power generators, their water-filtration sys–"
"Who cares what they're offering? It's not worth our freedom. We both know they want to enslave us."
Melinda May and Yo-Yo Rodriguez[src]

Due to the Destruction of Earth, the surviving human population sought refuge and sanctuary into the secret bunker known as the Lighthouse. However, the place was soon taken over by Kree invaders, who began to rule every aspect of the life in the Lighthouse and seized its supplies. In order to enforce the Kree rule, the Kree Watch, led by Kasius and Sinara, was created.[1][2]

Among their activities was the organization of Terrigenesis ceremonies held by the Vicar, during which young people were submitted to the Terrigen Mist to trigger Terrigenesis in potential Inhumans, who were then seized by the Kree Watch to be trained as living weapons and sold to wealthy bidders.[3] Additionally, the Kree Watch worked on artificially breeding Inhumans and the sterilization of the existing population so they could exert total birth control.[4]

The Kree Watch also exacted repression over the True Believers, a group of elders who believed in the arrival of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents coming from the past to rescue the Human population. Over the years, the Kree Watch banished the True Believers onto the remains of Earth which had been invaded by fearsome Vrellnexians.[2] Among the exiled were Owen Shaw, Alya Shaw, Samuel Voss and Robin Hinton.[5]

S.H.I.E.L.D. Interference[]

"They knew the rule, and they broke it."
"They're not gonna make it easy for you."
"No. They'll beg for their lives as you humans always do."
Kree Guard and Daisy Johnson[src]

In 2091, a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents arrived at the Lighthouse, having time traveled from the past due to the Time Di'Alla. As they were exploring the Lighthouse, a group of three Kree guards arrived and arrested them. They left Phil Coulson, Daisy Johnson and Jemma Simmons in a cell while Alphonso Mackenzie and Yo-Yo Rodriguez were taken for a brutal interrogation. Later, the Kree Watch agreed to release Coulson, Simmons and Johnson thanks to Deke Shaw, who pretended to know them. Meanwhile, the Kree decided to send Mackenzie to fight into the Crater and kill Rodriguez, but Johnson arrived as they were torturing Rodriguez, leading to the death of the two Kree guards.[1]

As Shaw, Johnson, Mackenzie and Rodriguez disposed of the bodies of the dead Kree, another group of Kree guards led by Sinara organized a food distribution in the Exchange. As Reese, a human servant, was hurt, Sinara executed the man responsible and then watched in interest as Simmons tended to Reese's wounds. Once she was done, Sinara ordered the Kree Watch to take Simmons to Kasius' Suites.

Orientation P2 Kree

The Kree Watch performs a Renewal

The Kree Watch later decided to have a Renewal among the population of the Lighthouse. They scanned the Metrics of all the human inhabitants, selecting those who had collected the fewest resources and leaving a shotgun so they could fight each other for their lives. Once the Renewal over, the Kree Watch scanned the Metrics of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. They noticed that something about them was irregular, but they chose to believe Grill who swore that they were working for him.[2]

Two Kree guards were on their way to bring fruits into Kasius' Suites with an elevator. At first, they were ignorant that Johnson was trying to sneak past them, but she eventually slipped from where she was hiding, triggering a fight with the guards, who were eventually overpowered by Johnson. Nevertheless, the Kree Watch eventually managed to capture Quake thanks to Shaw.[6] The Kree Watch put an Inhuman Control Device on Quake and took her to the Crater with the other slave Inhumans.

While on patrol, two more guards encountered Coulson, Melinda May and Shaw in the secure level 35. Shaw tried to avoid the fight but Coulson and May attacked the guards. May killed a guard with his own Kree Battle Axe, then helped Coulson to defeat the other, who managed to wound Shaw. Sinara joined the fight, prompting Coulson to leave with Shaw as May remained behind to fight Sinara. Although May resisted for a while, she was ultimately defeated by Sinara, who captured her and took her to the Crater as well.[4]

Kree Watch Flint Disappeared

The Kree Watch discuss Flint's disappearance

As Kasius prepared for an Inhuman auction, the Kree Watch led by the Vicar held a Terrigenesis ceremony. During the ceremony, only Flint showed a reaction to the Terrigen Mist. However, when his cocoon opened, the Kree Watch discovered that Flint had seemingly vanished. Therefore, the Vicar and the other Kree guards went in search of him. The Vicar found Tess and interrogated her, and although she pretended not to know where Flint was, the Kree Watch figured out she was lying and executed her, displaying her deceased body with a written command to deliver Flint. One Kree guard explored the Salvage looking for Flint, but to no avail.

Meanwhile, May, who had been fighting against Ben in the Crater, was taken to the surface of the Earth by Kree guards. She was followed by Enoch, who posed as a Kree and incapacitated the guard watching the elevator of the Lighthouse to reach the surface as well.[3]

As Leo Fitz helped Simmons and Quake to escape from Kasius, the Kree Watch chased them, destroying the Chronicom Vessel they intended to use to flee. One guard was killed by Johnson on their way out.

Meanwhile, the Kree Watch kept chasing Flint, threatening to hurt and kill random Lighthouse inhabitants if the young Inhuman was not delivered to them. As the Vicar waited for results, Flint came to him, pretending to turn himself in. However, this was a trick as Flint used his powers to kill the Vicar. Another guard prepared to fight against Flint, but Sinara intervened, knocking Flint out so they could use him as bait for the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Despite Maston-Dar's assistance, Flint was rescued by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Sinara took a group of Kree guards to the Salvage, where the S.H.I.E.L.D. team had retreated. They let Maston-Dar blow a hole in the wall before Sinara executed him and led the Kree guards inside the Salvage. However, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had already escaped to the Trawler docks.[7]

Uprising in the Lighthouse[]

"They killed the Vrellnexians. And we lost eight soldiers."
"How can that be?"
"The humans have guns."
Hek-Sel and Kasius[src]

Kasius was informed that the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had made it to the surface of the Earth. Infuriated, he ordered Sinara to chase them while Hek-Sel would lead a retaliation against the human population of the Lighthouse. As a result, the Kree Watch cut down the powers in the human floors. A guard then went to spread a gas which would force the fearsome Vrellnexians to invade the inhabited levels of the Lighthouse, killing many innocent people.

However, Alphonso Mackenzie, Yo-Yo Rodriguez and Flint secured a hidden pack of weapons and managed to exterminate the Vrellnexians. They then convinced the survivors to join them in a rebellion against the Kree Watch.[5] As they lost eight guards to this uprising, Kasius ordered the Kree Doctor to revive Tess and send her to the rebels as a messenger, demanding that the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, as well as Flint and the children were delivered to the Kree Watch.

Rodriguez Blocked

Yo-Yo Rodriguez is blocked by the Kree Watch's weapons

When Tess returned, Hek-Sel took her to Kasius, and Tess explained that Mackenzie and Rodriguez were occupying the Kree labs where the Kree Watch worked on breeding Inhumans, threatening to destroy all the equipment. Realizing that he had no other choice, Kasius took four guards with him and left to meet with Mackenzie and Rodriguez. He confronted them, threatening to blow up the Lighthouse if his demands were not met. As Rodriguez attempted to steal the bombs controller using her superhuman speed, she was stopped by the energy barriers generated by the Kree guards' weapons.

Mocking them, Kasius triggered the explosion to punish the rebels. Unbeknownst to him, however, the rebels had moved all the bombs in the secure place. As a result, the explosion not only killed none of them, but it made it harder if not impossible for the Kree Watch to chase them. Mackenzie and Rodriguez then blew up the Inhuman breeding equipment before running away, much to Kasius' anger.[8]

Kree Watch Zephyr One

The Kree Watch finds the deserted Zephyr One

As the Zephyr One returned to the Lighthouse, Kasius ordered the Kree Watch to search the plane, but they found nothing except for Sinara's body. Kasius took her body to his Suites and ordered the Kree Doctor to revive her. However, the Kree Doctor admitted that this was beyond his skills, prompting Kasius to execute him. Kasius then ordered Hek-Sel to find Tye so that they could send their slave Inhumans to chase the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. However, as four Kree guards escorted the Inhumans, they were attacked and killed by the combined forces of Deke Shaw, Phil Coulson, Melinda May and Daisy Johnson.

Hek-Sel reported the attack to Kasius, although he assured him that the Kree Watch would eventually capture the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Kasius took two guards with him to find the future incarnation of Rodriguez, who had been in the Kree Watch's custody all along, and to use her to confront the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Meanwhile, Hek-Sel sent his guards to keep chasing their opponents, but to no avail: the guards still searching the Zephyr One were killed by Enoch and Shaw and those who found Alphonso Mackenzie, Flint, Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons were beheaded by a trap devised by Fitz.

Hek-Sel, with his troops now down to four guards beside him, remained in Kasius' Suites. Hek-Sel ordered them to go and secure the Trawlers so the Humans could not escape, but before they could proceed, they were attacked by Flint from the outer space, who created a breach in a window, causing Hek-Sel and the guards to be sucked into space and killed. Meanwhile, Kasius waited with his last guards and his captive Rodriguez. When Mackenzie arrived to confront him, both Kasius and the guards attacked him. However, the guards were taken down by Mackenzie's Shotgun-Axe and Kasius was killed thanks to Simmons joining the fight.

Left without leaders and with most of its troops decimated, the Kree Watch could no longer stop the Humans from escaping. Later, the activation of the Time Di'Alla caused a massive explosion in the Lighthouse, likely killing any potential survivors of the Kree Watch.[9]

Haunting Memories[]

Deke Fake Kree

An recreation of a Kree guard attacks Deke Shaw

"It seems that this dimension can take our deepest fears and it can manifest them physically."
"So, Kree warrior, check."
Leo Fitz and Daisy Johnson[src]

Having proven to be a formidable enemy to the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents during their time in the future, the Kree Watch remained among their fears as they returned in their time. As a result, when the Fear Dimension was opened, it created recreations of Kree warriors on two occasions, which attacked Daisy Johnson and Deke Shaw.[10][11]
