  • Hi there :)

So I spotted a few times that somtimes a character would have superhuman powers (strength, healing, durability) while others would only have these attributes "enhanced".

    What is the difference?

Like for example, for me simple logic says that Captain America should be than enhanced bc of the serum.

But like Star-Lord was deffinetly born WITH these powers, so he should be superhuman.

    What do you think?

Also for Quill, I'd personally put his transplant into powers.

Like all the other characters if they have cybernetic implants that was put as a power. Imagine having the power of instantly translating everyone on this planet and beyond... for me that is more like a power.

"Cybernetic Enhancements: Star-Lord had a Translator Implant installed in his neck. It allows instantaneous translation of various intergalactic languages."

    Opinions?

    Thank you ;)

  • Hi, Shabook. As you may have realized, Amy Pascal said that Venom and Black Cat are part of the same world built in Spider Man Homecoming.... We should create pages for those articles?

Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony's Marvel Universe are now more like "communities" in one universe. But MCU can't mention anything that happens in Sony's Universe and vice versa.

They shouldn't even exist in the same universe. Two different studios -- one who knows what they're doing, and the other that doesn't. In the interview, you can tell Amy Pascal really doesn't know much about Spider-Man and the other Marvel characters Sony owns the cinematic rights to.

Even if they don't mention the other movies, just existing in the same universe can open a can of worms. For example, if they decide to place the Venom movie in the year 2017 (current year) and depict MCU Spider-Man as being a seasoned superhero (which they would be legally able to do) that would contradict the MCU movies' version of events, where Spider-Man is still a rookie in 2016 and thus could not be a seasoned veteran by the next year.

Even if they make no mention of it, just by existing in the same universe, it all breaks down. Sony needs someone else at the helm - someone who knows what they're doing and SAYING.

    • Wasn't Venom film supposed to not give Spider-Man any role with Eddie Brock's story of becoming Venom anyways? Unlike original comics or Spider-Man 3 where the symbiote chose Brock as its new host right after leaving Peter. Whether or not Sony's Marvel Universe or MCU have a connection or not, I will not judge Venom film before I've seen it.

  • Hi Shabook. I'd like to ask if there is an expected order to the list of equipment in a character page. The Layout Guide doesn't mention any specific order, so I'd like to know if you'd like us to order equipment according to chronology, hierarchy on List of Firearms, popularity / frequency used by character, or any other factors. Thank you!

    • I'd just like to let you know that I do like the idea of ordering by hierarchy, then chronology, especially since several character pages have very long weapons lists, so breaking it up with subheadings would make it look more organized. Please get back when you can. Thanks!

  • In an interview, Tom Holland confirms a Spider-Man trilogy but explicitly states that it will NOT be called Homecoming 2 or Homecoming 3. (source: https://www.polygon.com/2017/6/14/15800270/spider-man-homecoming-trilogy)

Informally, in production is being referred to as Spider-Man 2 and 3. Since the fourth Avengers movie is listed on this wikia as Avengers 4 until we get an official title, shouldn't Spider-Man follow the same pattern? Especially since those working on the movie are currently referring to it as Spider-Man 2? Not to mention the explicit statement that it will not be called Homecoming 2 (therefore having the page named as such would be incorrect)

  • Hola Shabook. Tengo una duda: las imagenes "YonduVol2.PNG", "RocketGrootVol2.PNG" y "KraglinVol2.PNG" no son permitidas en esta wiki?

^ Do you consider that a reliable source? I was going to add it to the Sebastian Stan page but there's a warning in place.

  • So the Watch the Game short/promotional film as been deemed non-canon due to it contradicting MCU continuity... Is this accurate, I cannot see any aspect of it which contradicts anything in the MCU? Therefore I believe it can be added to biographies of the characters... Do you agree?

    • Well, that you can't know. In the Coca-Cola ad, Hulk and Ant-Man were portrayed accurately in terms of character/personality

What if Spider-Man Homecoming explicitly says it's the first time Parker has any contact from Stark since Civil War? What if Parker and Happy meet for the first time?

    • In the coke ad Banner Hulks out when a coke is stolen, that's not really in character for him.

If SMH contradicts anything in WTG, then fine, it should be changed. In the mean time I believe it counts as continuity until proven wrong.

  • I've already told another admin about this but they said they are hardly on here anymore so I thought I'd bring this to you. I'm new to this wiki and I probably don't have a say but the story behind the "leaked information" on Zendaya's character today is completly false. The Junior Novelization doesn't reveal Michelle's last name. The source people are using on her page is screen rant who cited MoviePilot as their source. Thanks to this massive false information, it's spread like wildfire, I've read the book and it does not give Michelle a last name, I've seen people come online to say the same but everyone seems to ignore it. I'd also like to add that CosmicNews had made an article debunking the story, they even posted a screenshot of them looking up the name Michelle Toomes. Here is a link: [[1]]
