Morris (Mandarin: 莫里斯) is a Dijiang and the pet of Trevor Slattery.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Growing up with Ying Li[]

Morris was born on Ta Lo and became the companion and pet of Ying Li.[1] Ying was often surprised by Morris' actions, but she found him to be a loyal companion.[2]
Taken to Earth[]
Found by Xu Wenwu[]
Morris was found by Xu Wenwu on one of his expeditions for the portal to Ta Lo. Wenwu took him out of Ta Lo and into the Earthly Plane where he sent him into the dungeon of the Ten Rings Headquarters.[1]
Befriended by Trevor Slattery[]

In the dungeon, Morris met Trevor Slattery, who was recently captured by Jackson Norriss and was spared execution by Wenwu, who decided to keep him on to entertain his men. He became Slattery's pet and the two struck up a friendship, though Slattery considered he might have hallucinated Morris.[1]
Escape from the Ten Rings[]

One day in 2024, Shang-Chi and Katy Chen was imprisoned by Wenwu in Slattery's cell. When Morris made his presence known, Shang-Chi and Chen panicked at the sight of him. Slattery, on the other hand, expressed relief that Morris was indeed real and embraced him. When Chen asked about his face, Morris reacted with offense, as Slattery explained that he was sensitive about that. With Slattery acting as an interpreter, Morris revealed his history with Shang-Chi's mother and how he came into Wenwu's possession and asked Shang-Chi to take him home. Though Wenwu believed the path to Ta Lo only opened once a year, Morris knew how to navigate the maze immediately, but warned attempting to do would be fatal. After that, Xu Xialing burst out of a wall, revealing a tunnel system under the Headquarters and led them to the garage.[1]
Morris sat shotgun with Slattery as the group stole Razor Fist's car and escaped.[1]
Return to Ta-Lo[]

The next morning, as they awaited outside the forest maze to Ta Lo, Morris kept watch for the path to open as Trevor Slattery recalled how he was inspired to be an actor. He then alerted Katy Chen to drive into the forest and called out marks to avoid being crushed by the forest, narrowly making it through to the waterfall portal.[1]
Upon arriving at Ta Lo, Morris remained with Slattery in the car as Chen, Shang-Chi, and Xu Xialing exited to greet the natives. Once Ying Nan called off the tense standoff, Morris exited the car and ran up to Nan, who welcomed him back home.[1]
Battle of Ta-Lo[]

Later, during the ensuing battle, Morris spotted Slattery lying on the ground. Assuming him to be dead, he tried to nudge him, only for Slattery to reveal that he was merely acting and instructed Morris to do the same.[1]
Aftermath[]
Afterwards, Morris attended the ceremony with Slattery where the villagers and Ten Rings honored the fallen.[1]

Morris was usually cheery and sweet, especially around Trevor Slattery, and was happy to see more Dijiang when he and the others entered Ta Lo. But he could be a bit sensitive, especially when others talked about him not having a proper face.[1]
