Marvel's New Warriors, or simply New Warriors, is an American television series originally planned to be developed at Freeform[1], based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name.

The first season was originally planned to premiere in 2018.[2]

The New Warriors are six young people with powers living and working together. With powers and abilities on the opposite end of the spectrum of the Avengers, the New Warriors want to make a difference in the world … even if the world isn't ready.[3]

Production

On April 5, 2017, Freeform greenlit New Warriors with a straight-to-series order. It is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios.[3]

On July 10, 2017, the first cast members were revealed.[2]

Filming for the pilot episode had begun by June 2017, in Atlanta.[6]

On November 1, 2017, it was announced that Freeform was unable to find a time slot for New Warriors in their 2018 lineup, resulting in Marvel pulling the series from the network. The series is currently being shopped elsewhere.[1]
