"Could the connection between the Scepter and the Tesseract really be that simple?"
―Nicholas Cooper[src]

Nicholas Cooper was a S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist.

Biography

Nicholas Cooper worked in S.H.I.E.L.D. S.T.A.T.I.O.N. as a Research and Development technician, studying the relationship between the Tesseract and the Scepter from videos that he had from the Battle of New York. He was partnered with Mark Smith, another technician who was once a field agent. While Cooper was fascinated by the project, Smith was less so, missing his previous assignment and having disdain for Maria Hill. Cooper learned of how Smith came to be there when he asked.

Cooper noticed a pattern between the two items. Before he could reveal it to anyone, Smith killed him and took the Scepter for HYDRA.[1]

Trivia
