"Rhodey! Spotters have detected a Roxxon Armiger closing in from that location."
Iron Man to War Machine[src]

Roxxon Armigers were battle platforms created by the Roxxon Energy Corporation.

As S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopter forces approached a Tesla facility commanded by General Valentin Shatalov, they encountered a Roxxon Armiger. War Machine warned the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilots not to engage and to let him at it first. One pilot decided to lay down some covering fire for him, which resulted in the Armiger blowing up the helicopter and killing the pilot. Nick Fury then insisted that they pull back and let War Machine intercept the Armiger. War Machine engaged the Armiger in single combat and destroyed it.

Roxxon deployed more Armigers from a battle cruiser, which War Machine then entered and destroyed. He and Iron Man then learned that Shatalov was not there and that the Armigers were remote-controlled.

Iron Man fought and defeated another Armiger when he entered the Tesla facility to rescue Black Widow, who had been spying on Roxxon for S.H.I.E.L.D. from within and whose cover had been blown.[1]
