- Quote is presented exactly as in the Marvel Cinematic Universe {{{sig}}}
It seems kind of counterproductive to have the quote be written in Cyrillic, when (I assume) the vast majority of this Wiki probably don't have the lingual skills to read it. Should we translate what it says to English or if that doesn't work maybe pick a different quote to describe him? As it stands having a quote written in a non-latin alphabet on an English speaking Wiki just doesn't make sense. Blizzard1289 (talk) 19:01, April 13, 2018 (UTC)
- The quote is in Russian. The Russians use Cyrillic letters. The quote is also translated. See the References section. --UskokS.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters - Playground 19:18, April 13, 2018 (UTC)
- But that doesn't make any sense. On Wikipedia they don't write Vladimir Lenin's quotes in Cyrillic even though he too is Russian. This wiki itself doesn't write Malekith the Accursed's quotes in Norse runes. I assumed the purpose of this Wiki was to provide information on the characters, location and concepts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a clear & concise manner, as per the guidelines. Having a quote that next to no users will be able to read without scrolling to the bottom of the page makes everything much more complicated with no real benefit even to Russian users, who have their own version of the Wiki. - This is not Wikipedia but the MCU Wiki, which operates under its own rules. Malekith didn't speak in any Norse language. The guidelines say that if the quote is in some language other than English, the English translation needs to be placed in the reference and the reference itself needs to be placed right behind the sentence inside the quote. Just click the reference number and you'll see the translation immediately. You are the only person to complain about the quote since it was put in the article three years ago. Maybe it seems complicated to you but you'll get used to it, just like all the other users did.--UskokS.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters - Playground 14:57, April 14, 2018 (UTC)
