The Blessing of Many Fractures is the eighth episode of the first season of the Netflix exclusive television series Iron Fist.

  • Claire Temple tells Danny Rand and Colleen Wing that she wished she never came to China with them as they face off with Madame Gao's guards; the group figure out Gao's weapons are coated in poison which angers Danny as he recalls the pilot shows signs of poisoning which causes him unless the 'iron fist' though he misses Gao intentionally as Claire calls out to him; Danny grabs Gao and tells Colleen & Claire it's time to leave.


  • The letter that Claire reads in the beginning is from Seagate Prison. This is the prison that Luke Cage escaped from and was eventually returned to. The envelope says "UNCENSORED INMATE MAIL" and "Lucas" on it, as Cage is incarcerated under his birth name of "Carl Lucas".
  • During the fight between Zhou Cheng and Danny Rand, Zhou's fighting style reflects that of Su Hua Chi, a reference to the 1978 film Drunken Master starring Jackie Chan.
  • Joy Meachum references Jessica Jones when she explains that she hired a private investigator to gather dirt on the board members of Rand Enterprises, commenting that she was a very good investigator whenever she was sober.
