Marvel's Inhumans is an upcoming American eight-episode[3] live-action television series, based on the Royal Family of the Inhumans. It is produced by Marvel Television and distributed by ABC, and the first television series distributed by IMAX. The first two episodes of the series will be shot with IMAX digital cameras and projected on IMAX cinemas.[2] It will premiere September 26, 2017 on ABC.

Synopsis

Marvel’s Inhumans will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the Royal Family.

Behind the Scenes

  • Inhumans was scheduled to be adapted as a movie for Phase Three by Marvel Studios, but the film was delayed and later dropped in favor of a TV series.
  • Kevin Feige teased an Inhumans TV show in November 2016 “I don’t know when. I think it’s happening on television. And I think as we get into Phase Four as I’ve always said, it could happen as a movie. I think it would be super cool.”[9]
  • In January 2017, Roel Reiné was appointed to direct the first two and IMAX episodes of the series.[10]
  • The working title of the series is "Project Next".[11]
