Thor: From Asgard to Earth is a book based on Thor.
Synopsis[]
Cast Your Eyes to the Sky...
Beyond the stars and planets of the Milky Way exists a magical realm where mighty warriors fight with powers beyond imagination―and where evil lurks in every shadow. This is Asgard, home to the mighty Thor and the peaceful Asgardians. Enter Heimdall's Observatory and journey, as Thor did, across the fabled Rainbow Bridge and into the land of Midgard, better known as the planet Earth.
Let Heimdall be your guide as you travel from Asgard to Earth....
Plot[]
The reader is introduced to Asgard, a kingdom which achieved peace at a high price and maintained it under King Odin for thousands of years. Asgard houses the Destroyer and Casket of Ancient Winters in a vault. It is explained to the reader that Odin occasionally enters the Odinsleep and prefers to be in his chamber when doing so. Odin banishes Thor to Midgard and sends Mjølnir to the planet, enchanting it so that only people who are worthy may lift the hammer and possess Thor's power. While S.H.I.E.L.D. investigates Mjølnir, Thor meets Jane Foster, Erik Selvig, and Darcy Lewis. The humans show him the town where they live, and Thor comes to appreciate it as his home. While Odin is in the Odinsleep, someone sends the Destroyer to prevent Thor from returning to Asgard. Thor confronts the Destroyer.
