People say it is the Brazier of Bom’Galiath, but I never found a source to back this.

According to the Marvel Wiki, Strange was able to use it to enhance a spell he used to hide himself, Eric Masterson, and the Silver Surfer from Mephisto while they were in his realm. Making the spell last longer than it would if Strange had cast it by himself and presumably also making the spell more powerful. I assume this because the Sorcerer Supreme, a being wielding the Power Cosmic, and someone on par with Thor in power would likely be extremely difficult to hide all at once no matter what spell was used.
