U-GIN Genetics Infinite R&D, is a scientific research and development company, based in South Korea and led by Helen Cho.

History[]

Advanced Biotech[]

"The nano-molecular functionality is instantaneous. His cells don't know they're bonding with simulacrum."
"She's creating tissue."

Helen Cho and Bruce Banner[src]

U-GIN was a highly advanced bioengineering company based in South Korea led by Helen Cho. The company was well known for its work on the elaboration of regenerative tissue, which notably led to the creation of U-GIN's most prominent product: the Regeneration Cradle, which could create organic tissue in short amounts of time.

U-GIN's knowledge in tissue reparation made it a valuable partner of the Avengers. When Hawkeye got hurt during the Attack on the HYDRA Research Base, a U-GIN team journeyed to the Avengers Tower to heal him, although Cho remarked that it would have been even more efficient if the Avengers had taken Hawkeye to the U-GIN Genetic Research Facility instead so that they could use the Cradle.[1]

Ultron's Attack[]

"Scream, and your entire staff dies."
Ultron to Helen Cho[src]

In his campaign against the Avengers, Ultron went to attack the U-GIN Genetic Research Facility, intending to use the U-GIN's Regeneration Cradle to build a perfect bioorganic body for himself. Ultron and his sentries soon took possession of the lab and Ultron used the Scepter to force Helen Cho to cooperate and upload his mind in the new body.

However, Ultron was forced to stop the upload when the twins Pietro and Wanda Maximoff turned against him and the Avengers arrived in Seoul to fight Ultron. As a result, Ultron stole the Cradle he put in a U-GIN Truck and tried to leave with it, although the Avengers ultimately reclaimed the Cradle along with the new body, which would later give birth to the Vision.[1]

Collaboration with the Avengers[]

In the aftermath of the Battle of Sokovia, Helen Cho went to the Avengers Compound to further the collaboration between U-GIN and the Avengers.[1]
