Welcome back true believers here is another round-up of news in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has overtaken Iron Man ($623.9 million) and Thor: The Dark World ($644.8 million) this week to become the third highest grossing movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Winter Soldier has currently $649.7 million, and and though it probably won't beat Iron Man 3 ($1.215 billion) and The Avengers ($1.518 billion), it’s still in the top three of most succesful film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Stan Lee has confirmed that he has shot a cameo for Guardians of the Galaxy, after having previously said he would not appear in the film.

Images of Chris Pratt as Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy have been released as Disney CEO Bob Iger spoke about the studio’s hopes for franchise potential with the Guardians.

“This August 1st, we’re looking forward to introducing the world to more fantastic Marvel storytelling, with a great cast of new characters in Guardians of the Galaxy, which we screened last week and we believe it has strong franchise potential… We feel quite good about that too. That’s a whole other Marvel realm or universe in terms of where it takes place, the characters that populate it and the stories that you can tell for those characters. So, I think, I’m not going to predict that we’ve got another Avengers on our hands, but that’s certainly the goal.”

Avengers: Age of Ultron[]

Mark Ruffalo has revealed that motion capture legend Andy Serkis has been helping him on his performance as the Hulk.

Defenders/Daredevil[]

CCO Joe Quesada has given up a few words about the Defenders miniseries  in which he mentions the tone of the series:

"There will be some interconnectivity, much like the movies. They will exist within the Cinematic Universe again, so this is all the same world as S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Avengers… Although these are superhero stories, this is different now. This is the street level…this is the street level noir side of the Marvel Universe. Something that you haven’t really, really seen in any of our Marvel movies. And probably more ground level, than I think you’ve seen. This is not like us doing Batman, The Dark Knight or any of that stuff. This is very much Marvel doing street level superheroes… The scripts are coming in. They are pretty fantastic. They’re really emotional. They’re very, very original. But at the same time, it is Daredevil. It is Matt Murdock. We will eventually, hopefully start casting really, really soon, but I’m very, very excited about it…”

Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D./Agent Carter[]

Thanks to TomasDerksen for informing us that Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. is renewed for a second season and that the Agent Carter TV series has officially been picked up. Here’s the description for Agent Carter, which has Hayley Atwell in her role as the sophisticated agent aswell the likes of Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark) and Neal McDonough (Dum Dum Dugan) who will most likely feature in it:

“It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers…”
