Marvel is assembling something awesome in New York City, and we've got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look with details on how Wikia fans can get on the inside! Marvel's Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. (Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) is an exhibit, opening at Discovery Times Square on Friday, May 30.

NASA and the National Academy of Sciences joined forces with Marvel to create this first-ever interactive, immersive superhero experience that takes you into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The science behind Marvel Super Heroes comes to life as fans join in a simulated recruitment, just like an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. You can map out the stars and find Asgard in Thor’s Cosmic Observatory, learn to operate Iron Man’s suit, see the neurological effects of Bruce Banner’s transformation into the Hulk, and physically test yourself against Captain America.

As newly-recruited agents in S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ, you're taken even deeper into the world of The Avengers, getting a first-hand look at the vast array of intelligence files, classified studies, and experiments that explore the history and scientific origins of your favorite superheroes. Visitors will also be given unprecedented access to some of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most highly guarded artifacts recovered after the Battle of New York -- Captain America’s Birth Pod, the Tesseract Portal Device, Loki’s Scepter, a hermetically sealed Chitauri, and more!

You won't want to miss this exhibit -- it's the largest and most technologically advanced to open at Discovery Times Square with 140 video screens, dozens of large-scale touch interfaces, working robotics, augmented reality, and motion response applications.
