During the HYDRA Uprising, the Battle at the Hub was won by Coulson's Team and the loyal agents stationed at the Hub; Phil Coulson watched a newscast showing the Battle at the Triskelion. When Agent Shade walked up to him, he told her to find Agent Robert Martin and have him set up a back channel to the United Nations.
Following S.H.I.E.L.D.'s downfall due to HYDRA taking over, Robert was among the agents that were recruited by Phil Coulson's second incarnation of S.H.I.E.L.D. and eliminate the remaining cells that were part of HYDRA. During the Inhuman Outbreak, Robert had undergone Terrigenesis and would become a target to the Watchdogs.
Six months after Hive's death, Robert Martin continued to his status as an agent and served under Jeffrey Mace, who was also an Inhuman and became the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. following the Sokovia Accords that was established by the United Nations. Despite having himself registered, Robert preferred to keep himself on a low profile during his career. He would also join the Secret Warriors that the Director reestablished.
